Volunteer Consumer Advisory Subcommittee Member
EPC values community voices and we are looking for more volunteers to join our Consumer Advisory Subcommittee.
Consumer representatives communicate via email and meet together 4 times a year to share ideas, advice and opinions that will help improve our service to our clients.
Skills:
- The ability to provide a carer/consumer perspective
- Listen effectively and participate in debate and discussion
- Capacity to reflect on current and broader issues rather than focusing on personal concerns or individual experiences
- Good communication skills
- Ask questions, promote discussions and respect the views of all committee members
- Comfortable sending and receiving emails
- A general interest or skill in the Governance of Healthcare is desirable but not essential.
You may also like to participate in one of our other committees as a consumer expert in that field.
If you have an interest in improving palliative care services in our community, have cared for someone on our program or outside of EPC, or have a personal interest in governance or quality improvement, this may be for you.
A Position Description is attached.
If you would like more information, please call EPC on 1300 130 813 or email Christine cclifton@epc.asn.au
